  Everything would be fantastic if Centara could improve a food quality

  Positive: location is very good, people there are so friendly and helpful. Samsul is very kínd, he always makes surprise for us. My dad forgor his passport in safe and all of staff member was so kind and tried the best to help him get his passport back as soon as possible so he did not miss his flight. Thank you so much for this action. I appreciated this gestus. Negative: food was not so good, there are no too much of choose.

  Good value for money.. Food options very limited

  The staff was very good but they were clearly overworked . Short staffed property. Excellent house reef and water sports centre. The whale shark excursion was not worth it at all as it is a rare sight. The manta rays excursion was also not very fruitful as the sea was very choppy. We didn’t see much in the night snorkeling either. Best is to stick by the house reef where u can see tons of sea creatures.

  Amazing resort

  We had an amazing experience during our 3 nights stay at Centara. We especially liked the house reef for snorkeling, the diving center and its team (our son did a diving discovery course and he loved it), the whale shark excursion and sunset yoga on the beach. We stayed at the over water villa for families which was very spacious and well equipped. Anytime we needed something, the staff was there to help. I can highly recommend Centara!

  A stay to Remember

  It was one of the best vacation we had in the Maldive. From top management to all the line staff they always ensure provision of extremely personalized service with actual genuine caring nature. Everything was so perfect from food in Azure Mare ( litterally one of the best Italian we ever had and chef jatin was simply awesome) to Sua ban the thai restaurant with authentic thai touch. We have received some amazing service from all the staff but unfortunately not all the names we remember but following are few Irfan in club Sunny in Azure Mare Jatin ( chef of azzure mare) Yuva front office Huttu recreation Nalin hotel manager Munna houskeeping Neba recreation Miao thai restauarant In addition to that its one of the best lagoon to witness and experience sea creatures around. Sharks, Sting ray, Manta, turtles you name it. Will definitely visit again as one vacation is not enough for Centara Grand Maldives.

  My 12th visit - lots of changes

  Until April24 I always gave the highest ratings for this resort, but I can‘t anymore. Senthil (restaurant manager & guest relation) left. He was for us the „Soul of Centara. Anyhow, Chef Senthil, May, Irfan & Huthu did a great job, the SPA is also great. The Best Dives Team is complete new = lots of problems, but Alex from Colombia was friendly and we had great dives. Our annual private boat trip was a Desaster -however, problems happen - more important is, how to handle. I guess it is very hard to keep same quality with reduced man-power..

  Perfect place to relax

  Everything went smoothly, from airport greeting to check out. The resort is great and the snorkeling around the reef/island was exceptional. Italian Restaurant was fantastic. Our overwater villa was perfect. A great place to relax or jump on tours/activities for more action.

  Returned again from August 5-8 for the second time due to getting a special price, including the seaplane, for around 63,000 THB. Still as impressed as ever, the Sunset Water Villa, room 88, has a beautiful coral reef, and we often encountered baby sharks every time we went into the water from the Villa. The accommodation is spacious, and the kids could stay in the overwater Villa. The manta ray activity was fun and worthwhile, but unfortunately, we didn’t spot any whale sharks on the whale shark trip. The food is quite expensive but reasonable. If there’s another promotional price, we will definitely come back again.

  BEST TRIP OF OUR LIVES!

  My husband and I booked a 10-day stay at Centara Grand Maldives for our honeymoon, and little did we know that it would be the MOST INCREDIBLE trip of our lives!!! The staff on the island are truly amazing. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel like we were at home. From the friendly greetings and questions about our day, to the immediate assistance whenever we needed anything, every moment was filled with great care and attention. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who cared for us during these ten incredible days. A special thank you goes out to those who went above and beyond to make this the most unforgettable trip of our lives. First, we want to express our gratitude to Tharu, the reservation agent. We exchanged so many emails over the months leading up to our stay, filled with countless questions, and Tharu always responded with kindness and patience, ensuring our stay was perfectly planned. We stayed in the sunset overwater villa with a pool, which gave us access to “The Club” throughout our stay. Here, we met the most incredible staff members who made us feel truly welcomed! Irfan and Chef Senthil, in particular, had a profound impact on our experience. Irfan's kindness and readiness to assist us with anything we needed truly made a huge difference on our stay. Chef Senthil delighted us with the most delicious food we've ever tasted, elevating every meal into a memorable experience.   Beautiful property, average service

  We stayed for three nights on an all inclusive package. We were in a Duplex Beach villa. The property is stunning. Clean beaches with soft, white sand, beautiful clear water and an amazing reef. The villa was clean and well maintained though the air-conditioning took time to kick in and the sleeping area on the mezzanine level felt very claustrophobic. Full marks though for the thoughtfully provided loos on both levels. However, the staff of the resort are not the best trained in customer care. They seem to happily cater to Asian and European tourists, leaving the rest of us feeling a bit unwelcome. I have to say that the Maldivian staff were very polite and professional but not the rest. One young Asian lady staff member would simply look through us when we greeted her. The main issue for us was the business like attitude of the resort. We have been to other resorts in South Ari Atoll, (in November 2022 and January of this year) whose websites clearly described the All Inclusive package and left nothing unsaid. There were no hidden loopholes. Here, one feels a bit cheated because the website doesn't clearly indicate your choices. For example, we assumed that an all inclusive package meant that we could eat anything we liked in the restaurants at any time, with the exception of certain items not in our category. But it was far more restricted. We could only eat three main meals, no snacks or ice cream in between. At the only two restaurants serving a la carte options, we had to select a three course option (one appetiser, one main dish, one dessert) from the menu, instead of choosing whatever we liked, as in the other resorts. The food was plenty, I agree, but it was the restrictions that were odd. I wouldn't even have minded that if the website had been upfront and direct. Besides the three meals, we were offered the grandiosely named Afternoon tea. It was a disaster. Stale sandwiches slapped together carelessly, samosas out of a freezer pack and very iffy pastries slammed down on the table - I've never been served afternoon tea in quite this fashion. The point is, if you're offering something, whether it is all inclusive packages or afternoon tea, do it right. Don't offer something and then leave the customer feeling short changed. It's a pity about the service because the food in the Thai restaurant was wonderful, the room quite nice, the Thai spa very good and the natural beauty simply stunning.

  Happy family time at centara

  Centara Resort is a paradise on earth. We stayed at the water villa and beach villa @centrara Thanks so much to the warmth and hospitality, the staff service was excellent and outstanding. This has turned out to be the best vacation we have had so far. We loved every moment and highly recommend. If you’re decided to travel to this resort, you won’t be disappointed. You are paying for quality. My kid is having dietary restrictions so the resort staff has made special arrangements to accommodate our requirements and it was really helpful for us. We will be forever be grateful to all the staff who supported us by providing their best services. We will be forever be grateful to the below staff for their dedication of their excellent service.
