Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s leading hotel operator, has been honoured with “Good Sustaining Partner Award” from the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation Thailand (SOS) at the SOS Thailand Awards 2025. This recognition highlights Centara’s ongoing collaboration with SOS in redistributing quality surplus food from its hotels and resorts to local communities, effectively addressing hunger and reducing food waste across Thailand.
This prestigious accolade reflects Centara’s long-term partnership with the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation Thailand (SOS), which began in 2017. Through this initiative, Centara has redirected safe, high-quality surplus food from seven participating Centara Hotels & Resorts to underprivileged communities nationwide. Between 2017 and 2024, Centara has donated more than 137,150 kilograms of surplus food—equivalent to 538,692 meals—while preventing approximately 302,248 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent from entering the atmosphere through landfill waste reduction.
Centara remains steadfast in its commitment to expanding this collaboration with SOS, with the shared goal of combating hunger, promoting equitable access to nutritious food, and reducing surplus food waste. Centara continues to pursue sustainability-focused initiatives that foster long-term environmental stewardship and community well-being.
