One of my favorite stays in Bangkok!
Second time I have stayed here at this Centara. Whenever my wife and I have to make our annual trip to Immigration in Bangkok we have stayed here. Just a short walk away from Immigration so you can show up in the early morning to receive a low queue number. Other than being close to the Immigration they have a great breakfast, lunch buffet and A La Carte options for food. As well it is a quick grab away from Charn at the Avenue which has a lot of food options and The M Lifestyle Mall. Staff is always great there! This past time the room cleaners on our floor did an exceptional job, going over the top each day when they didn't need to. One of them was named Naw. Thank you for your hard work Naw and was a blessing to meet you. This hotel is great for specific guests. However, if you are just visiting, it is way too far from any tourist destination. At best, it is a shuttle ride ( or a 2 km walk) from the building to the BTS to get anywhere. When the government offices close in the late afternoon, so do all of the banks and eateries. You will have to go very far for anything that is not inside the hotel. Wheelchair friendly
I stayed at Centara Life with my college on a wheelchair. The room is not too small for her wheelchair to move around. The toilet and shower are equipped with racks so my college can easily use it. The wardrobe itself even has a lower rack so she can hang her clothes. My overall experience is superb. Spacious clean rooms with water kettle and coffee/tea. Fast WiFi connection and extremely helpful and pleasant front desk staff. Somewhat difficult to find, without assistance of Apple/Google Maps. Great for overnight stay between flights, but not well located (next to convention centre on government complex), for access to restaurants or shopping. I would really recommend the place for a few nights stay,. The staff and the place is warm and welcoming. Even though I think there was a TV crew at the hotel for a shooting and the actress (a chirpy one) may have said some racist comments about me being black or Whatever (can't stop the stereo types). Friendly, helpful and professional staff. The hotel's location is perfect whenever you have business at the government buildings in Chaeng Wattana. Well sized, clean and overall very good rooms. The breakfast buffet is a highlight, but was closed this year due to the current covid situation. A la carte breakfast was good, as well, with very friendly and accommodating breakfast/kitchen staff. Room is ok for me. Not fabulous but satisfactory. Staffs at the lobby area were well trained and very helpful. I didn’t have an opportunity to use other facilities such as coffee shop or restaurant so I can’t give the comment regarding those stuffs.
