Peaceful island with breathtaking views, rich underwater world and friendly staff
We are 5-member family with 3 small kids and we are very satisfied with staying in your resort, on beautiful, peaceful Machchafushi Island. Our family overwater villa was very comfortable and always cleaned (thanks to the friendly housekeeper, sadly don’t know his name). The view from our villa was breathtaking! Staff in Reef restaurant took care of us all the time. Mr. Kal and Mrs. Me prepared a big and amazing surprise for our kids on our last day there. We had a great experience with guys from Dive Center - we really enjoyed on manta trip. Our kids adored Ms. Yumi from Kamp Safari Kid’s Club. She knew how to motivate them and had great ideas for kids activities. We would like to thank you also to Mr. Fetty - this is a man with a big heart, very helpful and good with children.

A Dream came true!Thank you Team!
From our arrival to our departure everything was perfect!We enjoyed this patadise on earth!To the point I had tears in my eyes when we were leaving.The only negativity is the reef restaurant,I felt the quality of food there is not reflecting the reality of the resort.Also we had to pay for baby siting for our 2 years old everytime we wanted to go for an activity which in other resorts we didnt have too.So it would be great if they allow kids above 2 to stay for free.We had surprises and gestures at the birthday of our son amd daughter.The personel is amazing.Starting from Mitchel,Richard Mubamad, Sunny, Ashik, Fariq, Islam and the housekeeping team, They are all amazing!And more and more!I just forgot the names!Thank you a lot guys!Keep up with this service.Will definitely come back!

Great Choice
We stayed for 10 nights and had a very good experience at the hotel, we enjoyed our Reethi Muraka Overwater villa. The air conditioning was very effective and the room offered all the facilities we needed and was kept clean at all times. Overall all staff were very friendly and helpful, a special thanks to Pat that help us to get the villa in the best location for our needs and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Special mention to Giuseppe in food and beverage that made sure we had everything we needed during our meals and gave us great recommendations about the food, very friendly chap to chat with. My husband is vegetarian and we both are spice intolerant so we booked B&B only and had a choice of where to eat and full menu choice, which suited us.We ate most nights in the Italian restaurant Mare Azzurro and the chef catered according to our needs.The pizza was fantastic and the service was great. We had a great time during the Whale Shark excursion, the guys on the boat were very informative, friendly and helpful and we managed to snorkel with the whale shark! Great experience and we highly recommend. We snorkeled around the island and found the best area to snorkel was from the back of the dive centre going to the right all the way to the first set of overwater villas.There was an abundance of black tip sharks up to full adult size around 1.60m, also large white tip sharks, turtles, eagle rays, octopus and a wide variety of fishes with lots of very large parrot fish and oriental sweetlips all very tame and used to the presence of humans. It is worth purchasing in Amazon a waterproof pouch for your Iphone that costs around £10 for two, as a variety of fish are in very shallow areas of the reef and the colours come out great on the photos/videos. High tide is the best time to explore the shallow areas of the reef without danger of damaging the corals. Overall the reef is looking healthy and didn't disappoint. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great place
Good place to relax and seeing so many types of fishes . If only the dinner meal times for all the restaurant can start 6pm instead of 7pm .

Graet valu for money
Tha Staff is very frendly and very kind. The Beach is very clear sandy beachs. Coral reef are very reach of fishes and sharks

Everything would be fantastic if Centara could improve a food quality
Positive: location is very good, people there are so friendly and helpful. Samsul is very kínd, he always makes surprise for us. My dad forgor his passport in safe and all of staff member was so kind and tried the best to help him get his passport back as soon as possible so he did not miss his flight. Thank you so much for this action. I appreciated this gestus. Negative: food was not so good, there are no too much of choose.

The overall holiday was exceptional and the Maldives is a beautiful location. The snorkelling and the fish seen was amazing.

Good value for money.. Food options very limited
The staff was very good but they were clearly overworked . Short staffed property. Excellent house reef and water sports centre. The whale shark excursion was not worth it at all as it is a rare sight. The manta rays excursion was also not very fruitful as the sea was very choppy. We didn’t see much in the night snorkeling either. Best is to stick by the house reef where u can see tons of sea creatures.

This resort has probably the best offer of food I have ever experienced. The reef around the island is an aquarium. The customer service is unrivaled.

Great family trip to Maldives
This resort shows that Maldives doesn’t have to be expensive to have a luxurious experience. Also its proximity to the whale sharks and manta rays makes it value for money.

Amazing resort
We had an amazing experience during our 3 nights stay at Centara. We especially liked the house reef for snorkeling, the diving center and its team (our son did a diving discovery course and he loved it), the whale shark excursion and sunset yoga on the beach. We stayed at the over water villa for families which was very spacious and well equipped. Anytime we needed something, the staff was there to help. I can highly recommend Centara!

A stay to Remember
It was one of the best vacation we had in the Maldive. From top management to all the line staff they always ensure provision of extremely personalized service with actual genuine caring nature. Everything was so perfect from food in Azure Mare ( litterally one of the best Italian we ever had and chef jatin was simply awesome) to Sua ban the thai restaurant with authentic thai touch. We have received some amazing service from all the staff but unfortunately not all the names we remember but following are few Irfan in club Sunny in Azure Mare Jatin ( chef of azzure mare) Yuva front office Huttu recreation Nalin hotel manager Munna houskeeping Neba recreation Miao thai restauarant In addition to that its one of the best lagoon to witness and experience sea creatures around. Sharks, Sting ray, Manta, turtles you name it. Will definitely visit again as one vacation is not enough for Centara Grand Maldives.

My 12th visit - lots of changes
Until April24 I always gave the highest ratings for this resort, but I can‘t anymore. Senthil (restaurant manager & guest relation) left. He was for us the „Soul of Centara. Anyhow, Chef Senthil, May, Irfan & Huthu did a great job, the SPA is also great. The Best Dives Team is complete new = lots of problems, but Alex from Colombia was friendly and we had great dives. Our annual private boat trip was a Desaster -however, problems happen - more important is, how to handle. I guess it is very hard to keep same quality with reduced man-power..

Dreamy stay
We had a wonderful time in Centara resort. Everything was perfect and the staff members were so helpful and kind, especially our assistant Monir. He made our stay even more memorable. Looking forward to coming back!

Perfect place to relax
Everything went smoothly, from airport greeting to check out. The resort is great and the snorkeling around the reef/island was exceptional. Italian Restaurant was fantastic. Our overwater villa was perfect. A great place to relax or jump on tours/activities for more action.
